I have a cholla offspring that fell off the mother plant. How do I plant it? Do I need to root the plant first before I plant it? Do I need to cut off the base and let it scab to root it? Help, I have been wondering what to do for almost a year now.
I have successfully rooted cholla "offsprings" by just planting them diretly into cactus mix, no scabbing time or anything. I don't know what the 'recommended' procedure for this particular one is, but it worked for me!
