Pinguicula Pumila

Anybody know how roughly how long it takes for Pinguicula Pumila seeds to germinate at 75 Fahrenheit? Thanks for the info!

in what substrate do you germinate them?

Probably not as fresh as one would like but I don't really know. I planted them in a mix of 1/2 peat and 1/2 non-calcareous sand and they are at about 80% humidity.

with the subtropical US it is better to use fresh seeds, here all the old seeds have never germinated too.

otherwise your growing conditions look good

I agree I would prefer fresh but you get what you can get. I wish more people were interested in the native U.S. Pings but such is not the case in the States. Ah Well...

I find like you, that a pity, especially since other species, under species, variety or form are still to discover or rediscover 'in situ'
