I am growing this plant labelled Pinguicula agnata "True Blue". The plant is nowhere blue, the flower is typical for this species in color and form: a pale violet. If anyone has an opinion I am interested, and thanks!

Hi Tamlin,

The name "true blue" was coined by D'Amato, if I rememeber correctly. It is the holotype agnata from Hidalgo, Mexico. Eric's site has more info on the type agnata. The leaves should be yellow-green in color.

I have heard of another clone of agnata with purple leaves labeled as "true blue"...
