It appears the J finn is plenty happy in your greenhouse! How big is that pitcher? If I remember correctly when I mailed it to you the plant was making 4-5" pitchers

Just how big is your veitchii? It looks like you've got it staked in the photo of the basal shoot. I've got the Batu Lawi form but it's only 4" diameter with boring juvenile pitchers. Do you have any pics of the pitchers on your veitchii form?

Hey Josh,

Yeah that JF is a beaut! I think that was around the size of the pitchers you were getting on it. That one in the picture there is around 7 inches tall.

The N. veitchii is really a brute! It's slow but progressive. A new pitcher is begining to form and I think it will be mature. The immature bud is extremely different from before what I rememebered from the last pitchers. The little hood is flat on the bud...we will see what it brings.

I can get a pic of the pitchers tonight on it. Anywho my plant veitchii is 8 inches across with 4 inch tall pitchers. Why it decided to make a basal rosette is beyond my comprehension.

But the more the merrier! Veitchii is one of my most favorite Nepenthes so I am very happy to see it mkae that shoot. I'd better repot it sometime soon! lol
