Adding to the adoration of the stunning S. 'Adrian Slack,' here are a couple more photos of the spectacular specimen. A couple of poses in the early morning sun. I am in awe!
KingDom,
Where was your pic of 'AS' taken? Tell me you don't have one! I understand from Bob H. that they have tried several times to TC it but it has too much flava blood in it.
Thanks Alvin for the compilment. 'Leah' is a stunning plant. Much bigger than 'AS' though.
not nearly as impressive as the plants above, this is an S. (minor x rubra) x flava i picked up last year. had a mini aphid attack in early spring but as you can see that didn't stop it.
more of the aphid mutations i thought turned out kinda neat
all S. flava
S. 'Llama' (tube pictured is over 20", and a new one has passed it up this week)
S. oreophila
S. 'Redman' x leucophylla
S. rubra ssp. alabamensis
S. rubra ssp. jonesii, it should be noted that getting this photo was a hell of a time because it was pouring rain which was blurring the image something horrible.
S. 'Tarnok'
and last but not least an unknown sarracenia that i beileve is S. flava "coppertop" (i'll be posting more photos of it in the ID section where we can wage the war of IDing it later). stupid smudging of labels screwing my system up.
Here's what my outdoor Sarracenia propogation area looks like. I'm planning to sell the vast majority of them in July at a local Farmer's Market. I made over 50 cuttings this past winter, and it seems every single one of them made it so far. For more photograghs at 640x480, just go to my website here.
Pinkerton,
Just wait until you see the rest of the Wilkerson clan. There is a "Wilkerson's Special", a "Bud Wilkerson", "Wilkerson's Red Rocket", "Bud's Golden Boy", "Wilkerson's White Knight", a "Hosie Jackson"(Leah Wilkerson's father) and several more.
Oh man! More knock down drag out gorgeous photos. Makes me want to go outside and get down on my knees to beg my plants to grow more! If I posted photos of all of my plants you people would be stiffling laughs and snickering because most of my babies are so small. Great photos! Loved that very white S. leucophylla!
