It reminds me of Dutch iris, as orchids reminds me of some Utric flowers.

Iris virginica most likely but possibly I. tridentata. Would have to see more of the leaves as well as the plant unfurled completely.

I'm thinking Iris Virginica, also. And like Laura said, some pics of the leaves would be helpful!

I don't think that is I. virginica.

I. tridentata seems better to me.
