New orleans

Just got home from a weeks vacation in New Orleans.

 Went to the New Orleans Botanical Garden and saw this fine specimen... looks like it might have some maxima in it.

I've always wondered, why do BG's always seem to have hybrids and not true species of Orchids and Neps. Seems the true species would be better for conservation purposes.
