N. x 'Song of Melancholy', revisited.

This is the first near-adult pitcher my N. x 'Song of Melancholy' has produced, and I am mightily impressed. The peristome has no striping whatsoever; it is the richest dark ruby red imaginable. I wish the recorded parentage of this hybrid wasn't so vague/uncertain :-(

Enjoy!

Nice. I got rid of all of my solid peristome SOM's. All I've got now is two seed grown striped variations.

Very nice pitcher Paul! Mine is fatter and is highly striped.

They are beautiful plants!!

Wow! That's gorgeous. Nice job!

Beautiful pitcher! I think that the solid peristome varieties are just as pretty as the ones with striped peristomes

I do too, Mike, especially if they are such a glorious red!
