N. truncata reddish leaves

This plant from Wistuba is showing one of its namesake reddish leaves.

The leaves at this stage of development are ridged and hairy.

Even the underside of the leaf is reddish with short hairs as well.

The next pair of shots, were taken indoors - the first shot accentuating the ridges.

This one displaying tiger-like stripes, with the play between light and shadow across the ridges.

Mine does the same thing on new leaves. they turn green as the leaf nears its full size.

Thank god I found this post, 12 years later this is very helpful, I’ve got my truncata a month ago and I was starting to panic!
