Hi All,
Yesteday, a friend sent me a young wild caught pair of a beautiful killifish species -- Aphyosemion cognatum. The male is a nice yellowish color covered with red dots and stripes and his showy finnage is edged in blue. The female is quite small and under-nourished from her trip out of the Congo. They are eating mosquito larvae, daphnia and baby brine shrimp and exploring their planted 10 gallon tank which they will share with a young pair of mouthbrooding Betta strohi. I hope they take to captivity and start producing eggs and fry in a few months. They are a bold little fish.
Bobby
