My Heli has the mealys

Anna

carnivorus plant collector
Hi All:

My heliamphora has mealy bugs. I sprayed it with neem oil as I wasnt sure what kind of insecticide to use on it. I know they were mealy bugs because they were soft, white and fuzzy. I was kind of surprised to see them on this plant since they usually stay on my orchid cactus, but they must have migrated. Does anyone out there have a good insecticide to recommend for this? I have a feeling Im going to have a good fight on my hands.
Thanks

You'll get a variety of answers but the Bayer product for roses is supposed be good with CP pests, like aphids, and yet be safe for the plants themselves.

Ive used the Bayer systemic rose & flower product on heli/cephs/vft/sarrs with excellent results... but watch out for anything in flower, as it does a number on bees as well
(makes ya wonder what if...)
