Managing to keep my vft alive

Status

A recent heat snap all but killed my VFT. I am fighting to keep it alive, and so far I've succeeded a little. He's still green.

Is there anything I can do to enhance his recovery?

Where do you have the plant now?

Hey Cougar

Sorry to hear about your flytrap.

What is the condition of the plant? Is it just limp? Burned? Turning black?

If the plant is just dehydrated, I have had success rehydrating plants (of all types) by submerging them in water for several hours to a day. It seems to help them absorb water back in quickly. That isn't always successful but has worked many times. But if a plant is really fried brown or turned black, that won't work of course.

You may have to cut off any damaged growth (that isn't green) and wait for it to grow back out.

Don't give up on it.
