Well, I know I'm only 6 months growing, but I thought it would be good to try a minibog. First, I bought a durable plastic pot (red). I got a gallon of peat and a gallon of 1:1 peat/perlite mix from as well as a medium S. Flava, medium S. "Dana's Delight", and larger S. Rubra from , who I always order from because of their fantastic plants and clumps. Originally, I wanted to order from because the Sarrs were cheap there, but they were not what I wanted and I did not trust the guy who was selling them either. It's a long story. Instead, I just got 3 plants that are as good as 6-8 (because they are ready to be divided next spring) which are more than enough to fill my "bog" with my S. Judith Hindle. The minibog (or what I like to call bigpot) is very long and around 6 inches wide. It's a 2-gallon pot that is around 4-5 inches deep. I could easily fit 12 Sarrs in there when lined up, and maybe even 20-40 if scrambled all around. Anyways, I bought durable because it doesn't hold heat as much as a normal container and is more, well, durable. Wish me luck! The soil arrives on Wednesday, and the plants could come on Friday or Monday. I hope not Monday because I'm getting my braces off that day. I really hope it doesn't come later than July 20th, because I'm celebrating my birthday by going to Vegas on the 24th (my birthday). A couple of friends and I are going to watch Penn & Teller. We're staying there for 3 days, so it would stink if something should happen to my shipping-shocked plants between that time.
