Lately I've been thinking about getting my lowlanders out of the grow box and into the natural sunlight.. My question is: What's the coldest temps I should subject my LL's to outside?
According to Charles Clarke in his book Nepenthes of Borneo, the lowland area he studied never got cooler than 20*C (or 68*F) in a year of recording the highs and lows. They may not die outright in temps lower than this but they would most likely slow down their growth/pitchering.
You can also find out where your plant is from and then look up it's almost exact climate on google seaching with a string like: "Kandy Sri Lanka climate" and easily find climate data for yearly temp, humidity and rainfall and treat your plants and animals from that region according to the data you find.
