I had my wife rent Little Shop for me while she was renting out more family oriented videos. I saw it for the first time last night - the 1986 version with the SNL cast. Strange little movie. Now I want to see the original.

Oh, yeah!  I saw that version, too.  I really like the original one better.  I think this should be required viewing for everyone on this forum!  I am sure you would really enjoy it.  The original was a musical, of course, but not like 'Sound of Music' or anything like that.  Macabre humor.  Made in 1960, here's an anecdote about the making of it...   http://www.anecdotage.com/index.php?aid=9757

heh heh. My school did a play on that. I enjoyed it alot. But I still think the original would be 10 X or more better!
