The search function will bring up quite a bit on this, but I grow mine in a east/southeastish facing window and it thrives. It started as a Lowes death cube about 4 months ago, and now has 5 plantlets and is about 4 inches across. I use the tray method to keep it watered and all seems good.
In general, keep it wet and go a bit easy on the light. They are not as tolerant as other butterworts of high light levels. It should do well for you on a windowsill with some morning sun.
