Lichen and Nepenthes?

Can various species of lichen be grown with nepenthes? Either on the plants themselves or on a top dressing of live sphagnum.

What about the old man's beard?

You can try, however Lichens typically have very specific substrate, temperature, humidity, moisture, airflow and possible dormancy requirements suited to where they would naturally occur (tree bark, rocks, etc) and are hard to keep alive in captivity.

I'm not sure what kind it was but I did have one type of Red & white frilly lichen on some fresh imported cork bark from the orchid shop begin to grow after I mounted an orchid to it and hung it in my old HL chamber. I only noticed that it was growing when I compared pictures some months apart and noticed there was a bit more lichen in later pictures.
