Leaf cutting

My first leaf cutting caught it's first bug!!

how long did it take from when you stuck the leaf in the soil till now.

Only a few weeks. I bought some of those tupperware like plasitc food containers for 1 dollar for a pack of 4, and filled one about half full of peat, made it water-logged, laid the leaf down, put the lid on, that was it. I didn't even have to water as the container retained the moisture.
