LACPS Meeting - October 2008

The next meeting of the Los Angeles Carnivorous Plant Society will be Saturday October 18, 2008.

It will be held at:

Alhambra Chamber of Commerce Building
104 S. First St.
Alhambra, CA.

Doors open at 10:30AM, meeting begins at 11:00AM

Meeting dues are $3.00 payable at the meeting to offset the cost of the meeting room.

Presentation will be on the Search for Carnivorous Plants in the South Lake Tahoe area.

As always please bring your plants for show-n-tell, trade, giveaway or sale.
 
I'll finally be able to make it to one of these damn meetings! I'll be wearing a black t-shirt with the same beatles logo as my avatar.
 
though its only 18 minute there by car, it'll be hours of walking for me.
 
I posted this on the Yahoo Group listserv, but for those of you that are planning on going and are not part of the Yahoo Group, I'll post it here too:

Would anyone be interested in me bringing in free Devil's Claws (seed pods of the
quasi-carnivorous plant, Proboscidea parviflora var. hohokamiana)? I
have a ton of them from this season and they would make a great
Halloween decoration!

Also, I have some seed of Proboscidea parviflora var. hohokamiana if
anyone would like me to bring some in. Free of course. =)

Lastly, I am also interested in acquiring a good sized seed pod of
Ibcellia lutea. So if anyone has one, maybe we can make a trade?
