That's pretty small to tell yet.
Maybe you can ask what bobz what sundews were growing close to the U. sandersonii.

Yeah i was thinking it maybe a bit small. I pm'ed bobz already this morning. I just found this little guy late last night. How long do you think i should wait to try to transplant it???

You can transplant it any time. Just make sure you get underneath and around the roots, to minimize potential shock.

hmmmm ok well I dont have anymore pots right now or distilled water for that matter. So ill wait a few days atleast until i can find a soda bottle to cut into a pot.(i dont drink soda so its alittle harder to find lol)

I now have 15 different types of cp's YAH

Yogurt containers also work well. Just poke a few holes in the bottom.

So there's no way to tell what he is until he gets bigger?? Anyone have a remote idea of general direction?

I would think either intermedia or rotundofolia, but as elgecko said it's still pretty small

I agree, though I wish I could see the petioles better.

Cheers,

Petiole too short for d. anglica, not wide enough for d. rotundifolia, and not round enough for d. capillaris, and too big for d. brevifolia. Looks like a d. intermedia to me too. Want more? Don't transplant. instead, take the leaf off the end of the growing stalk, take the leaf, tentacle side up, and press it into the soil surface. Wait 4 to 6 weeks, and plantlets will grow from some of the bases of the tentacles, and increase your plants considerably. HOWEVER! Winter is approaching, and the plant will go dormant. Let it sleep, and work with it next year. Now you know the species. Leave it to rest and start fresh next year.

I'd say intermedia...

or maybe a D.nidiformis-ish South african mutt

The sundew hitch hickers I got from bobz turned out to be D. capensis. They did look more round like yours until they got bigger.

I would intermedia or nidiformis.
