is it dying or is it young?

I just bought a vft and it only has five leaves, and a trap that hasn't even been full grown yet. the plant looks ok and when i got it, it was the last one there.

I just wanted to know if the plant was young or if it is dying, i saw 2 dead leaves on it. And is there anything i should do right now before it grows up to be big?

If you are seeing signs of new growth, the root is established and healthy, and you shouldn't lose the whole plant. the tips page here for VFT care is really helpful, you'll probably get a lot of questions answered there!

Just gently clip off the dead leaves, flush the plant with distilled, reverse osomisis or pure rain water and follow the instructions on PFT's vft care page and you'll do fine!
