Hello eveybody, I have this dead Cicada and I have no Idea what it is. It is small, about an Inch and a half long, It has black lines covering the carapace and is green around those lines. It was caught in MI. It is not the kind that just came out of the ground a couple months ago. Thanks in advance if you know what it is.

again, it is not the one that emerged a few months ago, but I think it's a Tibicen canicularis. still not sure.

Australia? Cicadas are all over the place?

its a type of cicada but you aren't in australia maybe its m. neotredecim?

Carapace=thorax

ummm.... you can call a thorax a carapace???
I thought that was only in turtles, crabs, and others... not cicadas. oh well.
