How long should it take for a new trap to open?

My common vtf has been growing new traps and leaves but the new traps wont open past the teeth sticking out of the top. I was just wondering how long should it take, does 11 days seem like too long for it to be closed after the teeth come out of the top.

It could depend on how much light it's getting. If its getting full sunlight, then the trap should open when all the teeth are long enough and fully formed. Hope this helped.
