Hooray for our legal system

My best friend from high school was killed in front of her four year old kid, by the kid's father.  Whilst my friend begged and pleaded, on her knees, for her life. She was shot in the back of her head, execution style, with her head in the toilet bowl so the "bathroom wouldn't be messed up."  Daddy would have killed the kid, too, but unfortunately, the cops showed up and interrupted his plan.  Screw guns.  Oh, btw..the kid grew up and killed himself as a 23 year old...because of what he had seen.  So, we have here a whole family destroyed by legally obtained and "responsibly" owned, and permitted firearms. Except, daddy is out of jail now. Free and re-married and a "family man."  My friend and her son are still dead.  Dead as doornails.  A proud moment for the NRA!  why don't they use stuff like THIS in their recruitment literature?

Just because someone considers themselves a supposed "responsible" gun owner....don't mean they are one.

Thanks for the tip on Chihuahuas friends, they're considerably cheaper to feed than a tiger. I'm going to buy a nice plump Chihuahua and smash it in my nightstand and if anyone breaks into my home I'm going to pull that Chihuahua out and yell out to the intruder, "Halt, I've got a Chihuahua".  That'll stop em dead in their tracks.

April, For Christmas I'm going all out for you and I'm thinking I'm gonna get you one of them Rush Limbaugh t-shirts. You've been such a good girl this year that you deserve more than a silly old video.

I could also order April a Bill O'Reilly jacket if you think she would like it!

Oh wolf9striker, I just got off the phone with her but she's in bed now for the night. I'm sure she'd love a No Spin Zone (I think that's what he calls his program) Bill O'Reilley jacket. It's so her!  Gosh, she'd be so filled with emotion she'd hardly be able to choke back the tears... tears of joy that is.  Great suggestion. I'll go out and buy her a bigger stocking to hang on the mantle this year for her. Who knows what other special treats we can stick in there for her.

Quote[/b] (herenorthere @ June 08 2005,10:31)]Right.  And a Chihuahua can kill with a well placed bite, so there's no difference between a chihuahua or a tiger.  Both  can kill.  But I'm irrational.  I think chihuahuas are less threatening than tigers the same way I consider a candlestick or stapler to be less dangerous than a gun.
Remember guns don't kill people angry chihuahua's and tigers do. And aprilh sorry to hear about your friend but from the sound of the situation the "husband" (and I use the term lightly as no husband only a monster could have done that) would have killed the wife even if he didn't have the gun. Gun prohibition laws probably wouldn't have helped out in that situation from the sound of it.

Isn't anyone going to comment about my new self defense Chihuahua?  You are all spoling my fun. And here I thought I was so clever finding that image on the web.

Just imagine if Chihuahuas was the size of tigers. We all would be in trouble.

You Just need a feeder to attract a few of these to you're yard. I hear once you'vr fed them for awhile their real terratorial

As long as we are talking of protective pets...this is the one I would choose.
It is a Liger, the result of a female lion and a male tiger mating.  It is owned by a Miami couple, is 10 feet long, weighs in at nearly 1000 pounds and is thought to be the largest cat in the world.
I have numerous other spectacular photos of this cat and will email them to anyone who is interested.

I belive this thread has strayed a long way from the topic that Pyro started.

I'd always heard a liger is the meanest cat, but that it had the head of a tiger at one end ,and the head of a lion at the other end.

Laura...

Limbaugh? Oxycontin and draft dodging are family values! Is that what his t-shirt says?

Forget the O'Reilly Factor jacket..this is much cheaper: O'Reilly wrote a soft porn novel, and recorded it for books on tape. I've heard excerpts.

But...If the O'Reilly Factor jacket comes with a loofah...that might be cool. Or, how bout copies of the sexually harassing phone calls he made to a co-worker?

God, he's an rear. Family Values!

I have always thought it would be really cool to breed house-cats that were the size of golden retrievers. Man, what a great pet that would be, IMO.

OK April, you win.  Your stocking will contain a membership to the Republican National Committee.  If you're a really good girl this year maybe we'll make a little donation in your honor so your name can be viewed here for all to see-

I will toss some in for that present. Could one open a better present for Christmas?

She's asleep right now. When she gets a chance to get online tomorrow I'm sure she'll let us all know how much she'd love this type of a gift. I'm certain she'd treasure the frameable photo of George W and Laura she'd be sent with her wallet membership ID card to the GOP. Why she and her hubby could start their own shrine. Should we toss in a loofah with an elephant on it in for her to replace the nice jacket you suggested?

By the way, if anyone didn't take Lauderdale up on his offer to receive photos of the Liger, you really should. The photos were great.
