I have seen many threads asking what the easiest Nepenthes are, so I'll make it easier for anyone who wants to know.

The easiest species are Nepenthes:
 ...Highland-
alata
ventricosa
maxima
sanguinea
khasiana
fusca
tobaica
spatulata
 ...Lowland-
truncata
rafflesiana
reinwardtiana (i have heard stories that this can do well as a highland too)
alata (lowland forms)
ventricosa (though highland, it can grow here well)
khasiana (highland, but tolerant)

I hope i've helped you all!
Dave

Due to the added vigor, hybrids would be even more ideal to start out with, wouldn't they? Ventrata, Miranda, etc...

Yes, hybrids such as:
X Ventrata
Holland Hybrid
Judith Finn
and Miranda
are also good, but i focused on just naming the blunt species.

P.S. could a mod sticky this?

Tuna,
We're trying to limmit the number of threads we sticky, as we don't want stuck threads to get overpopulated.

People can always use the "search" function.

I've found that in most forums, they don't.

Oh, and by the way, N. sanguinea X truncata grows well anywhere.

Seriously though, after 3 years on the forums, I have just now started using the search engine.

I would agree with most of the plants on Dave's list but I would certainly add N. gracilis to the lowland list of easy Nepenthes.

Hi all"

Maxima X ventricosa and Xventrata still rule as the weediest of all neps.
