Nice looking plant. Seems to more resemble a D. capensis.

If it's D.spatulata x capensis, that means that the seed came from a spatulata or if it was D.capensis x spatulata, it will be the same plant? Most capensis hybrids have long leaves due to the capensis ancestry or whatever it's called?

It is the same hybrid yes, but each cross with have different variation. spathulata x capensis will tend to be more spathulata like, and vica versa. Regarding where a hybrid leans to one parent or the other is dominance of one parent of the other...I think there is a term for it.
