Flowering

What factors cause a VFT to flower?

1) Daylength (Photoperiod)?

2) Coming out of dormancy?

3) Temperature ?

4) A Combination of the above ?

I'm guessing 1: Photoperiod. My reason? The VFT that I got from Lowes didn't get a dormancy that winter, and the temp didn't change much (it was on a windowsill). The light levels are the only thing that improved.
