Hope someone can help me...

Exactly what is the mechanism that triggers plants to send up flower stalks? So far, I've had a D. capensis 'typical' flower and right now a vft and can't seem to find a correlation. Is it photoperiod? Energy storage? Watering frequency? Or is it different in each plant? Does the same rule apply for gemmae?

I'd like to share more of my plants through seeds but they just don't seem to want to flower.

umm... the leingh of daylight and temperatures for most temprate species. Watering frequency also. It depends on the plant.
