flower stalk?!?!

Hey everyone, I recently got some plants in the mail, and I noticed today that one has a flower stalk!! The plant isn't even healthy, and it's the middle of summer. Anyone have any idea why this is happening? When the stalk gets a little bigger I'm going to cut it and try to propogate it, hopefully I can get another Dionaea royal red to put on my deck next year.
Here are some pics:

thanks

More than likely stress
Cut it off :)

yeah, I'm going to cut it off when it gets bigger to try and grow another plant, hehe.

Well for the sake of not stressing your plant, id cut it before it gets over an inch or so.
Anything over that and the plant has already used quite a bit of energy

ok, thankyou. I will cut it of soon then...

Sounds good.
Try it with some of the leaves when the plant is healthier, or wait till next season since this season is almost over to try some flower stalk cuttings :)
