Dreamlike in its dimensions, Bartram?s drawing of American lotus blossoms reveals his scientific eye for detail and his romantic sense of nature. The Venus flytrap in the lower left corner is the first known drawing of this insect-eating plant, which inspired Bartram to exclaim, ?Astonishing production! . . . carnivorous vegetable!?
 
That's really interesting Ozzy. Is there a date for the drawing? Beautiful drawing too.
