Drosera cistiflora seedlings

Hi guys,

I have some D. cistiflora seedlings that have germinated late for me and are very small at the moment.

Here in Australia the hot weather is about to hit and I'm worried about what to do with the seedlings. If I keep them moist is it possible to grow them throughout summer without a dormancy? If they do go dormant they would not have had enough time to from anything like a tap root to get them through the dry times.

Has anybody else out there had to deal with this situation before and if so what did they do?

Regards,

Sean.

Sean,

I have no direct experience with the seedlings but I have heard that the dormancy may be forestalled or prevented if you can keep the photoperiod at 11 hrs. or less. Sorry I can't confirm or deny this.
