Digital camers

I'm interested in getting a digital camera of my own and I was wondering what all of you had and how do you like them? Or if you had any suggestions of what is a good one to get.

What I want in a camera is a good zoom, not only in distance but in the quality of the picture you get. I also want to be able to do close up pictures because I can't do that with mine now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Here is a good site to do some research. I use a Nikon Coolpix 4500. Plans are to upgrade to a Canon Digital Rebel or some other SLR.

I also like the Sony Cybershots. The pics on my site are taken with only a Sony Cybershot 1.3 megapixel. We have Nikon 2100 and 3200 at work, and they also work great!
