D. capensis help

Wesley

God must have an interesting sense of humor
The savage garden says that my D. capensis needs stratification, is it really nesasary? Also, it told me to store them in the fridge till I use them was that ok? Also, is vermaculite safe for dew seeds?

You do not need stratification for D. capensis seed. It's ok to store in the fridge till you use them.
I have only used vermaculite for mexicain pings and dewy pines.

It's harder to keep D. capensis seeds from sprouting then it is to get them to sprout.

LOL thanks... hmm How long does it uaually take them to sprout?

Seems like about 15 minutes.

Give them a couple of weeks.

i had a carpet of seedlings after 10-12 days from seeds taken straight off the plant. im with Ozzy, you have to try hard to not get them to germinate

This is good for me to hear, i can have mum put a bag over the stalk to collect seeds, and then put em' in the fridge until i get back from Switzerland in a week from friday.
