Just found out I'm going to a March conference in Phoenix, AZ. Any locals have suggestions of places to visit? At the moment I'm going alone so I'd like to plan something to do and make the most of my trip. I will be downtown and will need to go somewhere fairly close, since my transportation will be taxis, shuttles, and buses.
I doubt there are natural sites (maybe someone smuggled some drosophyllum and planted it in the desert?
) but suggestions for any botanical gardens, museums, etc that might be good for a short day trip would be appreciated!
P.S. Last year when I was in Baltimore we got into the aquarium afterhours! It was wonderful! I have pics of that
here.
