Chickadee feeding!

My bro and I went to Mendon Ponds Park to feed the chickadees, and there were also many rodents around, like squirrels and chipmunks. We also managed to hand feed some chipmunks.

Sorry about the quality of some of the pics, it was hard to get good shots.

We also saw a mother deer and her baby at the end of the trail.

I was about to say, thats not a chickadee (the first picture)

Sounded like fun!

I love chipmunks! They are so cute and nervous. I have one around my house. The squirrels I can live without because they are so destructive but the birds and munks are fun.

Nice pics and video. Thanks for sharing that.

Yup, it was a bunch of fun, which is now why I have a suet feeder in my yard. It's fun to watch the birds eat, and it has managed to attract lil wood peckers!

That's awesome. I used to go to Stanley Park all the time in Vancouver,BC. We always fed the chipmunks, squirrels and chickadee's. They banned people from feeding the squirrels because they started to take over the park. Great pics and video, thanks for sharing

I'd love to have a pet chipmunk.

When I was little, my mom found a sick chipmunk, and we raised it til' it was better.

That's sweet of you. When I was like 8 years old, I had a "pet" black squirrel. He lived in one of the tree's around my house, and everytime I came home from school, I would open my door and call for him (made squirrel noises) soon after he would show up at my sliding door and I'd let him in and he would actually sit with me on the couch and he'd eat peanuts right next to me while I watched tv!

My mom came home and saw this and just thought it was so funny. Then we had to move and Blacky (i know, i wasn't very creative when i was eight) didn't come to our new hourse, even though it was only a block down

Oh and one time (at band camp!) when I was five, I was feeding a squirrel a peanut and it accidentally bit me instead of the peanut, bit right through my nail. I had to go get a tetnus shot

That's pretty cool, but black squirrels scare me. Those things are creepy. I dunno, maybe it's just me. But that is cool how the squirrel would come to you.
