Capensis seeds.

This happened quite a while ago but does anyone know the capensis's flower buds blacken without opening? I've talked to Zach and it seems to happen to him a lot too. Anyone know?

There are a number of possible reasons for this happening. Two that come to mind as likely are possible overexposure to sun, or a fungal infection. Another is if the plant was stressed from lack of water, the terminal ends of the scape and leaves would be the first things affected.
