Just to share my experience...after hearing so much about using pure water for germination...

I sowed some seeds on peat/sand and left the others to float in distilled water. The ones in distilled water germinated in 8 days!!!

And they are more than a foot away from my lights! No signs of green from the ones in peat yet...

It was difficult trying to fish them out from the water though...'cos when they sprout, they sink.

Anyone has similar experience? Or could offer advice on how to get the tiny seeds out without hurting them?
