this shot is taken at somewhere over 1000 yards. IIRC its a bit over 1500 yards. the rifle is an orginal Sharps Borchardt and the cartridge is a .45-100 (2.6").

Very cool, in a slightly obsessive-compulsive sort of way. But it's shooting with the same level of drama as a cabinetmaker lining up boards. Of course the results of both are something the rest of us can't even dream of matching.

i agree with yah Bruce. ran across the video today elsewhere and thought i would show it to yah as it had a good shot of the sights and how the shooting is done since you asked about them in the past. no way on earth i could duplicate that kinda presision with that type of rifle. takes more than a slight dose of OCD to be able to produce the ammunition capible of that kind of repeatable accuracy let alone perfecting the shooting style. hunting quality reloads(100-400 yard depending on rifle and cartridge) accuracy is the best i can do......
