congrats! bikes are cool!
I have been through four major bike phases in my life.
your basic small "kids bike" with training wheels..
then upgraded to a "BMX Bike" in the 70's..
then my beloved Huffy 12 speed when I was teenager in the 80's..
that bike took me everywhere..(until I got a drivers license!)
then for the last 20 years or so I have been riding a basic mountain bike..although I seldom ride it on "mountain bike" type trails..mostly on the Erie Canal trail and local "rail trails"..
lately I have been considering diving into two totally alien bike concepts..
building my own recumbent from junk bike pieces:

(yes, thats a home-made bike, built from old road bikes!)
And I would LOVE to own a high-wheel 1880's "ordinary"
here is a photo of me at a Buffalo, NY bike museum, just last Saturday!
(unfortunately they didnt have one I could actually test-ride..oh well)
I might look for one..someday..and join the wheelmen:

of course, I also want a 1929 Ford Model A and a 1965 Mustang..
gotta have dreams!
