Betta fish has white fuzz around mouth

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody might know what is happening: the betta fish at my wife's work has acquired a white fuzz around his mouth. We suspected some sort of fungus but we are not sure. It seems to be fine otherwise. Would anybody happen to know what this is and how to treat it?

Sound like it. Tetracycline, while being a bit messy to use, works well.

Thanks, it's not my fish but I hate to see the guy suffer (and it's in a vet clinic, LoL!).

Sounds like cotton mouth disease to me. Wich is a fungus usualy caused by the fishes lips being bruised and then getting infected.
