Bacps meeting, this saturday

Location: University of California Botanical Garden, Berkeley
Date: May 15, 2004, Saturday
Time: 12:00 Noon
Program: The secret of creating soil mixes for our plants is a subject of great debate. What works for one person, doesn't for another.
During our May meeting, several of our members will be describing their soil mixes, and the growing conditions that affect their choice of soils.

If you have a unique soil mix you would like to share, contact Stephen Davis (stephenwd@sbcglobal.net) and we'll see if we can include you in the presentation.

An approximate meeting schedule is as follows:

12noon - Social, Display Table, Sale
1:00pm - Announcements and Program
2:15pm - Show and Tell, Silent Auction, Auction
To promote availability of interesting plants and other items, we encourage each member to bring one or two things for the raffle, silent auction, auction, or sale.

ALSO: The BACPS will be doing a combined order from Alan Lowrie. If you would like a packet of seed, put your name, and the seed you want, on the order form. Payment will be in advance. If you do not show up after 2 meetings to pick up your seed, they will be offered up for sale/raffle

The University Of California Botanical Garden is located on Centennial Drive above the main U.C. Berkeley campus, between the Stadium and the Lawrence Hall of Science. There is a parking fee and entrance fee. Once in the garden walk down the paved road to the meeting hall on your right hand side. For more detailed directions, please call the Information Center at 510-643-2755 or consult their website http://botanicalgarden.berkeley.edu/ or the BACPS web site www.bacps.org.
