Aquatic cuttings

My VFT cuttings don't seem to be taking when I stick them in soil, so I was wondering if I put them in a glass of distilled with a drop of SuperThrive and fungicide added, and left them under a light, would they bud and root? Has anyone tried this?? I hope it would work, because it's a lot easier to monitor the progress of the white rhizome section when they're not underneath the soil.

Well, that'd be an interesting experiment, should you undertake it, then please keep us posted. Alas, I haven't ever bothered to make cuttings, one of the main reasons being my majoy lack of sphagnum moss- most people seem to have much more success with their VFT cuttings when they're placed in sphagnum moss instead of peat. In any case, good luck with your future cuttings.

--Edit: WOW! Endparenthesis and I posed at like the exact same moment.

All I have is peat. If the water-thing works, I guess that won't be an issue!

Whoops, double post. Please delete this.
