Another thing to obsess about.....

I now have another problem to obsess about...I re-potted most of the plants I have been given. Most of them in black plastic pots, sitting in water in full sun. Those pots must get mighty hot. Should I put some aluminum foil around the black pots so they reflect heat? Aprilh

If you're talking Sarracenia (which I think you are) don't bother. I've grown all of mine in black pots for years with no problem. Just keep them sitting in water. If you have a water source (like rain water), I periodically do some top watering with a sprinkler can.
