acclimation

I got a 3-4 gallon container of s. leucophllya, s. purpea, and parrot plants (all together) and I am wondering if I should put them outside for dormancy. It appears as though the plants are already half way there, no new growth and lots of browning. I am in n. va and I don't want to shock these guys. Any help would be appreciated...

If they are dormant, I would continue the dormancy until warm weather arrives.

It should be fine to put them outside. If it gets close to freezing I'd bring them in untill the temps return to the 40 degree range.
