    My Mini Bog Garden

Thanks Grey Moss :boogie: I'm having so much fun making them and posing them in my bog garden lol. Plants have grown in nicely too, looking at building a much larger one as soon as I find a suitable container or pot.

    My Mini Bog Garden

Bog Monsters My Mini Bog Garden now has inhabitants! These guys started out as drawings and prints, but I just had to bring them to life...and having so much fun doing it! Revealed by moonlight beneath the glittering stars, Bog Monsters wait patiently to give you a fright. But they’re quite...

EEEK HELP!!! My Tissue Culture got too Hot!!!

Thanks MPX_78 the TC's have been in the same lighting conditions just in my kitchen since I got them, but I actually now think there was left over nutrient gel trapped within the tight growth of Triton which caused rotting from underneath/within the plant. The other TC is completely fine, I have...

EEEK HELP!!! My Tissue Culture got too Hot!!!

Thanks BigBella, I have had them in the same spot in my kitchen since I received the vials which is a good couple of months. A combo of LED lights and window sill light, nothing too strong just gradually increasing exposure. Heat was my first though when I saw my plant due to it's appearance...

EEEK HELP!!! My Tissue Culture got too Hot!!!

Hopes have plummeted lol. I carefully removed the moss from around the plant using a toothpick....not good, lots of mould growing and rotten tissue! So the plant looks 99.6% doomed. I put it in rainwater and it pretty much just fell apart, can't even see a rhizome but I don't think there was...

EEEK HELP!!! My Tissue Culture got too Hot!!!

I planted out My Giant Clam and Triton tissue cultures a couple of weeks ago, and have been slowly acclimatising them by gradually opening up their zip lock bags. They have been sitting in the same location on my kitchen bench since I first received them in their little vials, months back...

Cool, they seem to have a good range of plants :) It amazes me how the Albany Pitcher Plant always seems to be cheaper overseas than it is in Australia lol

    DJ57's CP farm

Twisted Sister really is very a beautiful colour! If I could get 5 years out of the media before having to replace it, then I might be able to justify filling up the old spa lol. It would have been there since the 70's or 80's and it's pretty massive. It would call for a hell of a lot of peat...

    DJ57's CP farm

Absolutely gorgeous!! Love twisted sister and all the flytraps. I have an old below ground spa here that I was thinking of converting into a bog garden one day. Thinking it will cost me a fortune to fill it with peat though.... :-( Do you think you will have to replace the planting media in...

    My Mini Bog Garden

The first caterpillar I found I couldn't believe it, and I accidentally dropped it too! Figured it was as good as dead so didn't worry too much about it. Was horrified to later find 2 of them happily munching away.... Both of those flytraps are from Bunnings, which are sold under the name Fang...
