Bought a couple nice Sarrs from Fred P. Extremely pleased at the quality of the plants! And, he's a super nice guy and a pleasure to deal with! His plants are nothing short of stunning, as these photos show. I'll try to post photos of their progress, as they are just rhizomes now. Thanks...

    Spring Cleaning

Well, i know it's not spring yet, but many of my Sarracenia are waking up from their long winter's nap. Found a bunch of S. x readii that had literally busted out of their pot! Not the first time I've had that happen. Other photo is a little "before and after" trimming. Sent from my SM-A505U...

Soil in Ziploc bags for years = Terrible for plants or Great?

Hmmmm.. Others may chime in and agree or disagree, but my opinion is to go with fresh mix. If the media had been mixed and DRY, in sealed bags or containers, might have been a different story. The fact that it was wet probably harbored mold, mildew and other icky stuff that you don't want around...

Very nice! Wish I had the climate (and your magic touch) to grow those beauties! Kept some for a year or so, but lost all of them to our hot Louisiana summer! [emoji22] Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
