It took a couple of weeks and when it was completed they created a USPS label December 30 but it didn't get picked up until Jan 5. Then it went from Washington state to Portland to Van Nuys to LA to Vancouver to Toronto to my place. But that's okay since I just got the components today.
Adjusting the speed of the fan and dimming of the LEDs works great. For the $1-2 cost of the radios I would expect a few failures.
I haven't figured out how I'm placing everything but mounting it all on DIN rail definitely makes sense. As you can see everything is a bit of a mess right now. I...
So I got one built over the holidays and except for a radio failure after 2 days everything has been working like a charm. I'm running both my LED lights, an Si7021 sensor and I have an old CPU fan hooked up just for testing. I also wired up a couple of waterproof 1-wire sensors I had in a parts...
Yes, I used the LT-H282D modules and attached them to aluminum U channel with heat sink compound. I built frames from left over cedar lumber and FRB wall board.
The one on the left has been running about 2 weeks and the VFTs and Nep are really starting to get nice coloration.
Thanks for publishing this, I've built 2 of them. I'm just getting back into growing again.
I added fans to move the heat away and everything is run by a 10A power supply.
MySGrowLED PCB is on it's way, hopefully it will arrive before the holidays so I can work on it while I'm off work. I got the Si7021 and BH1750 sensors today so I can experiment with them on a breadboard.
I'd definitely be interested in that project, I've now done a bit of reading on the Si7021 and BH1750 sensors. Does your design use the SMD sensors or the BOB version. I have a couple of the BOB versions on the way to play with. I'd also be curious about using 18650 battery since I have a pile...
Thanks for the quick response, I'll keep you updated. I have actually built the LED light from naoki for my 20 gal aquarium, mainly because I can get parts from Digikey.ca overnight and parts from China have been taking 6-8 weeks.
I was excited to find this thread during a Google search for DIY LED lighting. I've recently started growing CP and orchids again. I've set up a temporary sensor in a small aquarium where I have a Nep. And 2 VFT. I already have Domoticz running with a MySensors and RFLink gateways. I'm looking...
Just getting back into the hobby after being away for many years. I recently picked up a Nepenthes and a couple of VFT from a local garden center, also have a variety of seed on the way. Been reading the forum for a few weeks and have plans to build an LED grow light based on a couple of posts...
