I'm a long time Nepenthes grower but am recently struggling a bit to get the right conditions for my plants after switching to some more powerful lights (the old one broke). Some of my plants that were closer to intermediate than lowland died, and some others are suffering - slow growth...
Great photos and plants! Do you have any problems growing Truncata X XTrusmadiensis under lowland conditions? Or do you have it in intermediate/highland?
Hey thanks. I lurk more than I post since I don't have very many plants any more. My plants thank everyone on the forum though, there's a lot of good advice on here.

So far only the ventricosa has had any pitchers die. The top half of 2 pitchers have died, and the third looks a little rough but isn't dead yet. The copelandii had one of its pitchers lower its lid, but the other three look perfect. The ventricosa x talangensis has not shown any ill effects...
Regulating personal safety is a mistake, IMHO. That's the only point I was trying to make. Current law makes no difference on my opinion.

I agree, although in the end I suppose this is my "opinion" and it shouldn't be forced on anyone else. Although I'd imagine it's a little less debated than something like a seatbelt, it's easy to take too far. I'm sure for every person that argues that it's unsafe to ride without a helmet, there...
My personal opinion is that the government should only "encourage" people to be more responsible, and not punish them for being irresponsible. For example, perhaps if you're pulled over not wearing a seatbelt, you get a citation that only goes to your insurance company. You aren't fined, but...
