The lamp is just a regular over hang lamp, and its not left on all the time... just during the day. I give it distilled water.
I followed the this websites care instructions.
There are no traps that can take bugs... they're all too small and barely opened.

i live at a barrack in ft knox, i'll be surprized if my plant lives out my whole deploment. the only thing i can do is water it. if i tried to freeze my plant... the little crapy frige the army provided for me would probably kill it.

I have a Dente fly trap I bought in Florida. Somehow i got it back into Kentucky without it dying.
I have it under a lamp (not directly) along with my other plants. Its next to a window too, so it has sun light.
