Thank you for the responses! The plants that look sort of like fern gametophytes are actually the U. livida that I'm growing in the pot; the weeds are the larger plants with the round leaves and long petioles. yeah, I am probably going to let them stay in the pot for a while to get a better ID...

Thank you for the replies! I have moved it to a spot that only gets shade. I will probably take a cutting from above the brown area tomorrow and try and root that. I have some pumice so I might try adding that to the sphagnum too. Thanks again!
